Happy Thanksgiving!

Yeah, I know it's a little early, but my parents have the dial-up from h*ll and I'm not sure I want to fight with it on Friday when I'm sleeping off my tummy full of pie. Besides, I've got a presentation on Augmented Reality to figure out.

This Friday will be the first (hopefully) traditional "Holiday Transformation" filler. Enjoy and let me know what you think.

New, temporary avatar

Woo. A nifty little avatar I whipped up at Gaia Dream Creator. This sexy thing is an anime version of the Masked Lioness. Me! :) Conceptually, this chracter should be much more anthropomophic, but the avatar maker doesn't provide for that and I'm too lazy to draw my own avatar. Stay tuned for my own at some point.

Comic for Nov. 19th

All I really have to say is that I'm pretty pleased with the way this comic turned out. I like everything from the background to the dress on Amelia in the last panel. I especially like the little fish swimming in the mirror.

On the downside, I don't feel like Ameila's face has really settled yet. I'm having a hard time putting together a look for her, so she sort of has ended up looking like my generic female X. Hopefully I'll be able to get her look nailed down before she changes.

Look for the filler next week. I actually drew it before this comic page, so it's nearly all set. Just gotta color it.

Comic for Nov. 12

Good Morn to thee,

As you can see (or maybe not since this hasn't been linked to the webpage at this time), we have unofficially moved our update day to Saturday. It fits our schedules better and hopefully will garentee steady updates. I've run out of scripts, so it's up to my writer to get me more so that the story can go on. Also we will be away from home for Thanksgiving, so I will try and have a special filler up for the holiday.

We got a new scanner! Woot!

As an interesting note, Elise's design is based heavily on the Elfquest elves, in particular the older ones that are more human-like in highest. She is suppose to speak in Shakespearian which I've had the enjoyment of hacking together from an online Shakespeare dictionary. I know it's not right, but it's weird enough. Shakespeare buffs are welcome to send me pointers on making it sound more "real".

Hail and Welcome

Welcome to the official Duchess Mew Artist blog. This space will primarily be used to comment on my experiences drawing the Duchess Mew, but may extend into a variety of areas including other art I'm working on, my job, politics, and whatever else might matter at the time.

I really enjoy working on the Duchess Mew and I hope you all enjoy reading it and find my comments at least vaguely interesting. For now, these comments will not be posted directly to the site, so please stop by often to see new commentary. You can probably expect a post at least once a week.
